Artfest opening ceremonies, part 2

A few quick hits to whet your Artfest appetite (as if you weren't already dying for more): Trades!

 Remember my trade -- the scratch-off tickets to win a mini-collage? Announcing the winner...

 Tristan Tartaglia! (And poor Carrie Clayden behind her, crushed but bearing up bravely.) The best part: Tristan jumped up and yelled, I WON!!! in the middle of a packed dining room.

Not a class proposal -- the other kind: organizer Teesha Moore will soon have a son-in-law! Teesha's daughter Trista got engaged in front of all 550 Artfesters!

A new look for my Friends/Fans page

Rather than wait to be pushed, I've thrown myself into the lake of fire that is the new Facebook fan page reboot. Not so bad -- mainly because I already took the plunge for my personal page.

Art business coach Alyson Stanfield posted a useful how-to I recommend you read first. Someday I'll get fancier with it, but this'll do for now.

Artfest 2012/ opening ceremonies

(Please excuse the weird photo posting; I'm doing this from my phone.) Tonight's Artfest activities: fast & furious trading of little gifties or "trades." Carrie Clayden's the woman in the cowboy hat (and tutu!) with my trade -- a scratch-off ticket (in a Bag o' Art Stuff) which gave people a shot at winning a free mini-collage.
