Rocking The Boy into sleepiness after a bath: I get three minutes of The Boy resting his head on my chest, sucking his thumb, his other fingers curled up against a patch of my bare skin at my collarbone.
I am a visual artist working in collage, assemblage sculpture and altered books. My practice explores identity, memory and the history of the African diaspora. Vintage and contemporary images collide to convey how the past informs the present.
