New art: "Exposure"
Whenever our family travels, it's like an adventure/disaster-prevention saga inside my head. Which of course means I have something new to explore in my artwork. Do we have all the bags? Did we forget anything? Where are the kids?
Are the kids going to get "playful" during the airport security check? Is anyone looking at them with a little too much interest? Wait -- did we forget anything...? Feeling a bit at sea, if you will.

I've finally set down some of my epic (anxiety) onto a 36" x 48" panel -- my largest yet.
I'll give you the behind-the-scenes next week -- stay tuned!
Art fair prep: bringing my best to Best of the Northwest
I'm putting the final touches on a few new pieces as I get ready for the October act of Best of the Northwest show.
Wait'll you see the full piece in person!
Trying something new for this show.
I need more clamps. Maybe an actual book press?
And by "trying something new" I mean "not making new work up until the last minute so I don't get stressed out." But as you know, the tasks expand to fit the time available (about 22 days -- eek). So I'm keeping myself busy tying up loose ends. Details you'll need to know:
DATES: October 24, 25 & 26 (Friday-Sunday)
TIMES: 10am-6pm Friday & Saturday, 10am-5pm Sunday
WHERE: Magnuson Park, Hangar 30
TICKETS: Brown Paper Tickets (notice the special deal if you bring a friend!)
Just print the info out and bring it with you. Let me know you plan to attend; RSVP here. You'll see my work plus that of more than 100 other artists
And here's the kicker: your ticket to my show gets you in FREE for the next show November 14-16, where you'll see work from another 110 artists! Looking forward to seeing you...
New site for Lisa MB!
TA-DAAAA!
You can find my artwork by section:
And if you want to contact me, see where I've exhibited or read a little of my backstory, click on "Info" in the navigation bar. Poke around a bit -- it's all new and shiny (except for the parts that are intentionally grubby).
